September’s meetup dove deep into the many colorful layers of the Latinx diaspora. The Mixed Space community, alongside our speakers, shared our own unique experiences and perspectives on the theme.

Thanks to our speakers and The Mixed Space community, this year’s August Meetup was enlightening and inspiring. We came together to reflect on the many biases that exist in media content and the production industry.

Our July Meetup was centered around the Food Justice movement. It began with our traditional matriarchal and Indigenous land acknowledgement, and a pause to show respect to the agricultural workers who keep us nourished.

Juneteenth. A time for reflection, meditating on the future, and celebration. We did exactly that during our June Meetup. DJ Oluwafemi kicked off the night by giving us a taste of the specially curated playlist he made for our first ever dance party.
